History

Established on 30th, March 1995. The Domestic Marketing Department and the Technical Service Department of Dyestuffs Division, Sumitomo Chemical Co., Ltd. was reorganized and established as Sumika Dyestuffs Technology Co., Ltd. With the capital of 40million Japanese yen, which started their business on 1st, April, 1995.

Started the marketing of VAE Emulsions of Sumitomo Chemical Co., Ltd. in April, 2001, and at the same time, the company changed its name to Sumika Chemtex Company Limited in order to better reflect the current business structure of the company.

The paid-in capital was increased to 80 million Japanese Yen in October, 2001.

Started the marketing of Ion-Exchange Resins and Chelate Resins of Sumitomo Chemical Co., Ltd. in January, 2002.

Obtained the distributorship of the Super Engineering Plastics from Sumitomo Chemical Co., Ltd.

The paid-in capital was increased to 84 million Japanese Yen in June, 2004.

Started the marketing of Oil Soluble Dyestuffs for plastics and Polymer Additives in July, 2004
